Unforgettable day for us! Watching the races from the lounge at Sonoma Raceway was an absolute treat! With comfortable seating, amazing views of the track, and easy access to great amenities, it made for a top-tier experience. The atmosphere was lively but not overly crowded, allowing for a relaxed yet exciting day. Plus, the selection of food trucks was spot o offering everything from gourmet bites to classic race day favorites. Add in the exclusive paddock and hot pit tours, and it was truly a race weekend to remember!
I was very surprised when we rolled up to the gate and asked if we could enter the track area and the security guard said sure. Feeling overwhelmed with hope, I asked if could take my car around the circuit. Unfortunately he superbikes were booked for testing that day. Sadly, although we got to the stands, winners circle, and had great unobstructed views of parts of the track, we never did get out on the track, even though the superbikes were all parked and no one was actually doing anything. I still count it as a win in that we even got past the gate and got a brief visit to the course I have watched during many many Nascar races.
The 2025 CSRG David Love Vintage Races at Sonoma Raceway, held from April 11–13, offered a captivating glimpse into motorsport history. Organized by the Classic Sports Racing Group (CSRG), the event featured over 200 meticulously restored vintage race cars, ranging from nimble Formula Fords to thundering Trans-Am muscle cars, all competing on Sonoma’s challenging 2.52-mile road course .  
Spectators enjoyed free admission, allowing them to wander the paddock, engage with drivers, and witness these historic machines in action . The event also marked Round 1 of the Formula Ford Crossflow Cup, adding competitive excitement to the weekend .  
Beyond the racing, the event fostered a sense of community with Saturday evening hors d’oeuvres for participants and guests, emphasizing camaraderie among vintage racing enthusiasts . The picturesque backdrop of Sonoma’s rolling hills and the track’s elevation changes provided both aesthetic appeal and driving challenges, enhancing the overall experience. 
In summary, the 2025 CSRG David Love Vintage Races successfully combined thrilling on-track action with a welcoming atmosphere, making it a standout event for both dedicated motorsport fans and casual visitors alike.

4 weeks agoCame here for the Raceworz event and met Hector from Fast and Furious. Kids got to sit in a race car and they had a ton of fun too.
