My 7-year-old had been waiting forever to go go-karting at K1 Speed, but he was always just a bit too short. He finally hit the 48-inch mark, and we were so excited to check it out.
This was the second K1 location I've visited, and the customer service was absolutely top-notch. My older son was feeling a little nervous about racing other kids. The staff noticed and went above and beyond, setting up a private session just for him and his brother. They both ended up having an absolute blast!
We also grabbed some food, and while they initially got our order wrong, they were incredibly quick to fix it and even threw in a little extra for us. The whole facility was clean and well-maintained, and the operations felt very smooth.
We'll definitely be back, and I'm even thinking about signing my kids up for their racing classes. I'm so glad we came here—it made my son's first go-karting experience truly special.
PROS: coming on a Wednesday after 6pm was not very busy. Place was clean though, customer service was normal. CONS: pretty expensive for a small track, the food court was closed and there was nothing to indicate this (no sign, nothing). The team member said he couldn't serve/order us hot food UNLESS we were part of the corporate work gathering reserved in the private room. We were pretty hungry, so we ended up buying a few bottled drinks to go as my son enjoyed 2 quick races.
Went for the first time, with my 8yr old son. He raced juniors while I raced adults, but the crew was great at alternating races, so it never felt like either of us were waiting. We each did 3 races and my body was sore but will def be returning
We came on a Wednesday evening for their Wednesday deal: 2 races for $50 + $10 arcade credits. If you already have your K1 Speed Annual License, you can either check in online or use the self-service Kiosk on site. The race itself was decent, with 13 turns throughout the course. I was so close to making the top 3!
*They offer different deals on weekdays, see be sure to check before you go.
It would have helped to get some sort of an introduction, maybe 5 minutes, explaining how it works. The kids had never done it before, so they don't even know what to expect; and likewise, as parents, e.g. that there's a printer and that the results will be printed, nobody explained that to us. Otherwise, the experience itself was great!
