3 months agoIf you’re looking for a spot for a team outing, this place hits the mood and the food perfectly. Especially after a convention or a long day at the office near Burrard Station. I honestly didn’t know it was here because it’s tucked away, but so worth it. And if you’re a cocktail lover, this is your place.

2 weeks agoMy friend and I went to a matinee movie and then decided to go on to enjoy a drink and a meal somewhere downtown. Who knew happy hour on a Tuesday would be so popular! We tried Central on Burrard but the place was packed, and we'd have to wait 15 mins to get in, we then walked past Joey's--also busy--and settled on the Brass Fish, since we borh had good memories of lunches there in the past. Seems that the current philosophy of bars/restaurants is to 'pump up the volume' and Brass Fish was no exception: made it hard to have a conversation with the friend sitting next to me. I wasn't impressed either by the Happy Hour food menu; listing $5 off for these mains or $3 off these snacks, making the customer hunt through the menu to identify and choose the dishes mentioned. My wine was OK but my friend pointed out their non alcoholic drink selection were pricey. The classic burger was good but basic, the shrimp tacos (snack) was mostly guacamole with a hardly discernible piece of shrimp for colour. What we did like is the dessert: a cream cake with 🍓. To finish off, we wanted a cappuccino but no they only had brewed coffee, didn't have decaf either. As for teas, the waitress listed the few they had stocked. Earl Grey was settled on by my friend, only to be told, minutes later, they only had chai tea tonight. So, all in all the Brass Fish was a disappointment.

a year agoI recently had the pleasure of dining at Brass Fish Tavern, and I can’t stop raving about it! We kicked things off with Dicky’s Dumps handmade dumplings, and let me tell you, they were a delicious start to our meal—perfectly crafted and bursting with flavor. For the main course, I enjoyed the grilled avocado and crispy tofu, which was nothing short of amazing. The combination of textures and flavors was just spot on! And then came dessert, we indulged in salted pretzel toffee pudding and Vietnamese coffee tiramisu. Both were heavenly, but that tiramisu had a special twist that I just adored! The staff were super friendly, making us feel right at home, and the ambiance of the restaurant was just lovely—perfect for a special gathering. If you’re looking for a great dining experience, I can’t recommend Brass Fish Tavern enough!

8 months agoWe had a wonderful meal with exceptional service. Our waitress Hannah was super friendly and very helpful. She had a great understanding of food allergies and was able to assist in food selection. Everything we had tasted amazing. Thank you for a lovely gluten free experience.

8 months agoGreat place, we were there for lunch. Food was super tasty. We were a little surprised that it's called fish, but July.two fish dishes were in the menu, but those were very tasty. Intereor design is lovely, and the service was friendly.
