a month agoWe had an absolute blast! The atmosphere is fantastic; it's the perfect combination of a bar and an arcade. Playing Mario Karts 🏎 with the group was the highlight of the night! Service was friendly and attentive, and the drinks/food were solid, but the vibe and the games truly make this spot shine. Great place for a group of 4 to hang out and unleash their inner kid!

a week agoIf I could give this place 0 stars, I would. GRETA Bar YVR is hands down one of the worst-run establishments I’ve encountered. From management to bartenders, the entire experience felt slimy and purely money-driven. We were asked by management to pay extra to skip the line despite the venue already being full, which raised serious safety concerns and appeared to go against basic fire code capacity rules. On top of that, bartenders automatically added an 18% gratuity while we were ordering directly at the bar, despite us being under the group size required for automatic gratuity, as clearly stated in their own fine print. There was absolutely no care for guest experience or staff wellbeing. It was painfully obvious that profit is the only priority here. Management behaviour was especially off-putting and unprofessional, and the overall vibe made us deeply uncomfortable. Nothing about this place felt honest or welcoming. It’s the kind of business that makes you question what’s really going on behind the scenes. I would never, ever recommend Greta Bar to anyone. There are plenty of better places in Vancouver that actually respect their guests and staff. Save your time, money, and energy, go literally anywhere else.

3 months agoSuper cool bar for big groups or cute date idea. Come early for a quieter atmosphere as the evenings parties roll in and the house DJ starts spinning. Love the nostalgic tunes and retro game selections.

3 weeks agoWe hosted a joint family birthday party at Greta and it was absolutely perfect. The food and drinks were amazing, everyone was impressed! The party features were such a fun touch too: an hour of gameplay, a cocktail, dessert, and even a party sign we got to customize. The atmosphere was lively and fun without being overwhelming. Staff were friendly and helpful with any questions or recommendations. Greta made celebrating easy, memorable, and genuinely fun. Highly recommend for birthdays or group events, we’ll definitely be back!

3 months agoI love the atmosphere at GRETA bar, there's arcade machines, big screens, and a row of washrooms. The staff were friendly, and I was greeted upon when I walked in. On tap there's in house beers, and a varety of other major labels.
