KrafTea Kombucha brews kombucha in Worcester, and founder Matthew Glidden’s time belongs in production. Getting KrafTea onto more restaurant and brewery shelves meant reaching new buyers one by one, and that was taking time away from the product. Since partnering with Event Captain, KrafTea has landed on new shelves at two restaurants, a bakery, a brewery, and more, with interested parties reaching out almost every day.
“In my case it pays for itself in one or two clients per month and I have had interested parties almost every day.”
Matthew Glidden, Founder of KrafTea KombuchaFor a craft beverage maker, growth means getting stocked in more places. But every hour spent reaching out to restaurants and breweries is an hour away from making the product. KrafTea needed a steady way to reach new accounts that didn’t depend on Matthew contacting everyone individually.
“I was having trouble reaching new potential clients. I don’t have the time to reach out individually to everyone.”

Event Captain took over prospecting and outreach for KrafTea. Every week, our team finds restaurants and breweries in the area, reaches the people who decide what goes on their shelves, introduces KrafTea, and follows up until they’re ready to talk. Interested accounts come straight to Matthew, so the work left on his side is the conversation and the product.
“EC has allowed me to concentrate on making my product and potential clients now come to me.”
Matthew Glidden, Founder of KrafTea KombuchaKrafTea is already stocked at two new restaurants, a bakery, a brewery, and more. Interested parties reach out almost daily, and the math works: one or two new clients a month pays for the service. Accounts that aren’t ready yet stay in KrafTea’s pipeline and get followed up later, so every month of outreach keeps adding to it.
Asked whether he’d recommend Event Captain to other businesses, Matthew’s answer was simple: “Yes, absolutely.”
